This photo portfolio contains a selection of images created and retouched by Edmund N. Gall. Originally from Trinidad & Tobago, I currently reside in the UK. Please note, I no longer provide any commercial photography services (portrait and event photography, either as an assistant or photographer, nor retouching services). I'm forever gratefult to those who helped me develop my skills, but have resumed my Information Technology career.
I began shooting travel photos to relax on business trips during my previous, 20+ year career in IT Security & Auditing: more so when I switched from film to digital photography in 2006. I love technology, and photography allows me to blend my business & technological nous with my creative side in a way I haven't been able to before.
I developed a strong passion for portrait photography, and began specialising in portrait & event photography, prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It is still so rewarding (as a hobbyist) for me to show people images of themselves that they're happy to share as valuable art, either on their digital or physical walls. Being able to engage effectively with someone while creating their artistic portraits is complementary, as it allows one to better tell event & travel stories in any lighting situation or challenging environment, and produce work that is highly valued by the client.
I currently do my own retouching, using Adobe's Lightroom & Photoshop CC (plus some creative plugins). I've relied on training from some wonderful photographers, as delivered by creativeLIVE.com, the best online source for creatives. This portfolio is the result of practising what I've learnt over 4 years from such experts.
